Solutions for flexible governments

What is the HP E-Government Framework?

The HP e-Government Framework includes a portfolio of pre-tested and pre-integrated hardware, software and services for designing, building, deploying and managing government portals and accessing government services.

HP’s e-Government Framework helps government agencies:

  • Improve access to people, processes and technology
  • Better integrate systems and reduce intra- and inter-agency barriers to improve citizen services
  • Create a dynamic IT infrastructure that responds quickly to changing needs

Government agencies all over the world need to be focused on providing citizens with access to the information they need, when they need it.

Whether a National, regional or local agency, each shares a common goal: to better serve the public interest. That’s a tall order. But with HP’s help, government agencies around the world are rising to the challenge.

HP’s customer-proven, repeatable e-Government solutions provide transparent and global access to government services with enhanced security features. By helping to integrate systems, data, processes and people, HP’s e-Government solutions can increase efficiency and cross-agency collaboration – making true transformation possible. HP’s outsourcing and financing options also deliver the flexible solutions government agencies need today.

Integrating and collaborating across boundaries

To improve collaboration and enable interoperability, civilian agencies need integrated systems that make it easy for data, people and processes to cross organisational and technical boundaries. More specifically, agencies need a holistic e-Government approach that supports unified work environments and a streamlined citizen experience.

HP understands these challenges. For more than 60 years, HP has provided technology solutions that enable governmental organisations to operate more efficiently and provide better services to citizens. Today, HP builds on this commitment by offering proven, repeatable e-Government solutions that respond to new and emerging needs.

Success Story: Pennsylvania
In Pennsylvania, Department of Environmental Protection employees are more capable of performing their jobs in a timely and accurate manner thanks to an e-Government solution from HP. With the agency’s Environmental Facility Application Compliance System (eFACTS) in place, DEP inspectors can report inspection results within two days and the public can access compliance information within 10 days.

Access to information for employees and citizens

The HP e-Government Framework enables shared services, a business approach and an IT architecture that lets agencies share key parts of their infrastructure, applications and business processes within their own organisations, with other agencies and with the general public.

HP’s shared services solutions can help your agency improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, enhance collaboration and make better decisions. These solutions are designed to break down the barriers that keep people apart—so you can improve access to information, services and people.

Shared services offerings are at the heart of HP’s portfolio of e-Government solutions which encompasses:

  • Point IT infrastructure solutions
  • Point business solutions
  • Proven methodologies
  • Flexible business models

The HP e-Government Framework is backed by HP’s experience in providing scalable, highly available technologies for data replication, disaster recovery and continuity. What results is reliable on-demand access for citizens, delivering information where and when it’s needed. Integrated end-to-end solutions from HP also allow agencies to seamlessly access information on the network from nearly anywhere – in the office or on the road – in a simple, easy way.
