Digital deinstall and License Pak return instructions
(for Digital equipment only)

If you have leased Digital equipment, it is important that you refer to this document to protect your interests and ensure an accurate and prompt return of your leased assets. The following provides instructions on how to properly deinstall your equipment and return your License Paks.

License Paks

All original License Paks must be returned to HP Financial Services at the address provided below. If you do not have the original License Paks you received at lease inception, obtain a copy by calling Software License Administration at HP at 1-800-277-8988. You must provide the Customer License Administrator with the Serial Number and the DEC Number and/or the License Pak Authorization Number.

If the DEC License Management Facility is installed on your system(s), prior to deinstallation, go to the ‘$PROMPT’ and enter the command ‘Show License.’ A listing of licenses and authorizations should be displayed on screen. This information will allow HP to generate and supply the necessary copies for you to return to HP Financial Services.

Deinstallation

To ensure continued maintenance eligibility, HP must deinstall your equipment. To make an appointment, please call HP at 1-800-354-9000. Once the equipment is deinstalled, please contact your HP Financial Services representative to receive further instruction.

The License Paks and copies of the maintenance contracts are to be sent to the following location prior to shipping the equipment:

HP Financial Services
2 Results Way MR02-3 D8
Marlborough, MA 01752

Do not send any equipment to this address; it will be immediately returned to its origin at your expense.
