HP Has consistently supported AMBER on its platforms as part of its commitment to Life and Materials Sciences research. As a result, HP offers excellent performance and price/performance for running AMBER on its range of platforms.

Why HP for Accelrys' users?

AMBER runs on HP’s PA-RISC, AlphaServer, ProLiant and Integrity (Itanium) servers (HP-UX and Linux), plus clusters of these systems, as well as on HP’s xw series of Intel Pentium/Xeon and zx series of Intel® Itanium® workstations. Recent testing highlights AMBER performance on HP systems, scaling extremely well on the XC3000 system, HP's newest highly scalable, fully supported Linux cluster solution. To store the data generated by AMBER runs, HP offers a range of StorageWorks products useful in the Life Science environment. As a result of HP’s involvement with AMBER, go to the Build guide for AMBER 7 on HP platforms page for guidance on building and running AMBER and to find answers from HP partner engineering.
