"I wouldn't have been able to do this without HP. I have some experience in the technology we've deployed, but it isn't nearly what HP was able to bring to the table. The whole process went smoothly."- Roderick Norman, Network Engineer, Flint Community Schools
|
Roderick Norman, network engineer for Flint Community Schools in Flint, Michigan, had a vision when he joined the district several years ago. He wanted to integrate the IT infrastructure to provide a more centralized technology environment. His vision included replacing islands of disparate technology with standardized technology in a single data center, enabling remote diagnostics and system administration, and serving applications over a high-speed network. His goals: to cut costs, improve agility and resource utilization in the schools' IT infrastructure, yielding more flexibility and making it more manageable.
Norman knew that with those changes in place, Flint Schools could also implement technology in the classroom to realize its most important objective: improving learning.
