Creating Greater Agility

HP Services offers a rich portfolio of Enterprise Integration Services that link systems, applications, processes, and the people that use them across all aspects of government structures for greater functional agility.

We can help you access, share, and synchronize data and applications across heterogeneous environments at all levels of government, reducing IT spending on integration and the rigidity caused by silos of IT resources. At the same time, we'll help you migrate and transition inflexible, proprietary components and applications to more affordable open standards and emerging platforms, such as .NET and J2EE Web services, to position you for long-term success.

A Proven, Open Approach to Integration

HP Enterprise Integration Services improve the quality and accessibility of information, enhance the quality and speed of the integration process, and demonstrate the value of that integration. This is accomplished through:

  • Proven architectural designs and methodologies - HP servers, storage, software, services, and partnerships form the backbone of solutions linking heterogeneous applications, platforms, and IT environments. Our global team of Enterprise Integration experts are tasked with defining, testing, and documenting proven reference architectures and best practices that can be used to help accelerate and ensure successful implementations.
  • An open standards-based approach - HP offers a wide range of solutions spanning Windows, Linux and HP-UX environments as well as NonStop, OpenVMS, and Tru64 UNIX platforms. We partner with leading middleware providers to deliver best-in-class integration solutions. We embrace both .NET and J2EE as the predominant Web services architecture, to re-architect and rebuild a system, or to Web-enable an existing system to provide new capabilities. Recognizing that all solution lead to J2EE or .NET, our approach is to use the right tool for the right job -- every time.
  • Best practices assessment, design, and implementation methodologies - HP Services professionals have created a partner-based collaboration model to manage best practices and decision-making for enabling faster integration design, development, and deployment. The HP Agility Assessment Service, for instance, helps you assess the agility needs and IT responsiveness of your organizations and identify a game plan for agility improvements and investments. What's more, with HP's Integration Competency Center, we'll help you create a centralized integration department within your organization that takes a structured approach to the design, development, component reuse, and deployment of an overall integration infrastructure. Our own experience in managing complex IT environments gives us first-hand expertise in making integration work fast.
  • Impact analysis and process modeling services - HP can provide process modeling as well as management tools and services to help you better understand how your processes can contribute to measurable growth in agility. We can also help you identify the IT technologies that support new strategies in an economical way -- at your pace, and on your budget.
  • Industry-leading management solutions - HP offers a wide-range of world-class solutions to measure, monitor and track performance indicators in your systems to ensure seamless, pervasive integration. For example, HP servers and storage products, coupled with Business Continuity Services, guarantee data availability to employees, citizens, businesses, and other government agencies. HP OpenView is the leading infrastructure management solution spanning legacy systems to Web services.
