HP Lead Schools

Hewlett Packard New Zealand developed information technology programmes tailored specifically for the Lead Schools, following the launch of the Ministry of Education's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strategy in October 1998.

Information and Communications Technology Lead Schools throughout New Zealand were chosen by the Ministry of Education to showcase the use of information and communications technology in classrooms. The schools were chosen for their experience in integrating information and communication technology into their curriculum. Lead Schools receive support from the Ministry to provide training for teachers from their own and surrounding schools.

To date, these lead schools throughout New Zealand have selected HP as their official Information Technology Partner. The acquisition of this equipment enables schools to use ICT in the classroom, train teachers, as well as provide student and community access to ICT.
